At the heart of our studio is a team of passionate, experienced, and nurturing instructors who are dedicated to each dancer’s journey. Our staff brings a diverse range of backgrounds in dance and education, creating a well-rounded and dynamic learning environment. Committed to excellence, they not only teach technique but also inspire confidence, creativity, and a love for the art of dance. With personalized attention and a genuine investment in every student’s growth, our instructors strive to make every class engaging, empowering, and fun.
With 21 years of experience in the dance community, she has trained in all styles of dance including ; Tap, Clogging, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Musical Theater, and Improv. She trained at the University of Tampa Dance Department for 2 years, and now choreographs for competition teams. Her choreography has received many awards such as creative concept, born for broadway award, crowd pleaser award, self choreography award, and has received several Top 10 or higher placements.
Within the 22 years of dancing, Lauren has had intense training in contemporary, improv, ballet, pointe, jazz, and dance choreography. In addition, she is also well experienced in musical theatre and hip hop. Lauren has danced in New York City, Madison Wisconsin, and all over the state of Florida. She has performed for astonishing choreographers such as Teddy Forence, the Dance Professors of the USF Dance Department, and many more. Throughout the years she has attended many master classes and dance intensives, furthering herself in the craft. Lauren graduated from Blake High School as a Dance Major and continued her journey with majoring in dance at USF for 2 years. She proceeds her craft independently with an immense passion for educating.
Shianne Akers is a graduate from The University of Tampa with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance, with an emphasis on dance pedagogy, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. She currently is a performer, choreographer, and educator. Shianne has performed with Tampa Supreme Showgirls and theme parks based in the Tampa and Orlando area. Her choreographic opportunities have included a dance film project under the direction of Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration and presenting work at American College Dance Association and Florida Dance Education Organization. She recently had the privilege to choreograph and perform a new piece at Immerse in Orlando, FL. Shianne also has experience with adolescent and adult dance education.
With 19 years of experience as a recreational dancer and over a decade experience in competing, she has developed a strong foundation in all major styles of dance, with a specialization in Hip-Hop and Contemporary. Throughout her training, she has studied under some of New England’s most respected instructors, earning national titles and prestigious scholarships along the way. Driven by a deep passion for dance and education, she has brought her expertise to the South, where she is committed to inspiring and developing dancers of all levels who are eager to grow their skills and creativity.
